Product Specialist - Motor Vehicle Industry
Mission
To improve sales activities, provide sales support in product management, demo, seminar and
training with Product Manager for the MVI Business Lines.
Job description
1. Works with the Product Manager to analyze current sales force competency, competency requirements, and the competency GAP.
2. Works with the Product Manager to determine a series of actions required to close the GAP.
3. Executes the agreed upon action plan with the Product Manager.
4. Executes the agreed marketing activities and campaigns with the Product Manager.
- Provides marketing material to support the activity or campaign.
5. Executes product launches in conjunction with the Product Manager.
- Support a SWOT analysis of the new product and advises where it fits in the market-place.
- Prepares and distributes sales and technical material to the sales-force.
- Support that necessary material is translated into Japanese.
- Support that proper product training is conducted.
- Report the results of launch through unit specific score cards to the Product Manager and change to correct undesirable developments as required.
6. Provides technical and marketing support to Regional Sales, Key Account Managers, in conjunction with the Product Manager
7. Is responsible for keeping localized sales material and technical documentation relevant and up to date.
8. Undertakes product analysis through benchmarking and SWOT analysis on a consistent basis in order to monitor market and competitor activities.
9. Assists in application problem solving for applications that is likely to end up in the Segment Application Guide.
10. Monitors market to identify trends that will change the industry.
Experience requirements/ Language
3+ years of experience in industrial B2B sales or marketing is a plus
Business Level Japanese
Business Level English
Knowledge
Product knowledge to proceed the value for both pneumatic and electric tools
English is required to communicate with overseas regularly
Working knowledge of the sales process
Working knowledge of customers and distributors
