Job Contents:
Support sales, margin and overall business initiatives by managing inventory levels, in-stock in inventory turn over
Be an active participant in planogram reset strategies, analyzing opportunity and exposure
Support new item introductions with timely purchases and store allocation in alignment with sales expectations. Monitor product to maturity, making forecast/purchase order adjustments as needed. Analyze sales expectation in conjunction with display requirements and store count.
Manage product exit strategy, limiting investment exposure, as merchandise moves within the channels of the business and/or store assortments.
Review key selling and inventory metrics, reading tends and reacting accordingly by managing inventory to align to trends
Engage in business decisions by using analytics and historical data to form factual a point of view
Monitor sales and receipt forecasts to ensure expectations are being met. Consensus management of outliers by working with service partners to set expectations.
Plan sales and inventory for promotional opportunities and validate expectations based on historical sales data, taking into account presentation standards and product placement.
Prepare post mortem analysis to understand performance on key events
Manage key vendor relationships for the Supply Chain Team by collaborating on upcoming sales/receipt forecasts, on time and fill rate review and forward looking requirements
Articulate business situations and recommendations to Senior Management as required
Participate in the development of new tools that support management of Supply Chain KPI’s
Build and foster cross functional partnerships with Distribution Centers and Store Operations teams by communicating opportunities and concerns proactively that impact partners
Identify and analyze root cause for inventory related issues
Maintain system settings to ensure proper replenishment, manage Weeks of Supply expectations; adjusting orders/requirements as sales change
Responsible for all replenishment purchasing
Requirements:
Advanced skills in MS Excel
Retail industry business acumen
Advanced skills required in Sales Planning and Inventory Analysis
Basic knowledge and understanding of store fixtures, signage and merchandise layout
Open to Buy Experience is a plus
Knowledge of Financial Planning in a cost accounting environment
Minimum 5 years in speciality retail and e-Commerce enviroment in inventory planning capacity
At least 2 years of managerial experience in fast paced envirnoment
