Job Description
Segment Management:
- Contributes to the creation of the Group segment(s) 1-3-5 year strategy with Group Indirect Purchasing Segment
Supplier Management:
- Builds/maintains/enhances relationships with suppliers assigned by Group Indirect Purchasing Segment Directors (global suppliers) and by Region Indirect Purchasing Manager (region suppliers) in order to achieve QCD.
Stakeholder Management:
- Be able to Builds/maintains/enhances relationships with stakeholders to ensure their buy-in of the segment(s) strategy.
Sourcing Process Management:
- Manages the sourcing process such as supplier panel,RFI,RFP, Pre-So Co (Sourcing Committee) and So Co to ensure compliance to the policies,right selection of a supplier, supply, quality, service and cost.
Proactive Cost Management:
- Achieves cost control and cost reduction targets, and adds value to area of expenditure through a strong total cost management in line with business goals and segment(s) strategy.
Contract Negotiation and Management:
- Leads the purchasing process including RFI, RFP, negotiations, and contracting to put in place the right suppliers.
- Negotiates at tactical and strategic levels to develop local, regional, global contracts
Market Knowledge and Insights:
- Uses thorough market knowledge and data analysis to gain critical insights that drive the segment(s) strategies and continuous improvement activities
Requirements
Japanese: Fluent
English: Business level
-Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point skills are required
-Conceptual understanding SAP is preferred
Education:
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
-A minimum of 10 years of general business experience is required with at least 5 years+ experience in
-Work experience in automotive related industry and/or indirect purchasing space is preferable.
-Project management skill is required.
-Experience in supplier management, competitive bidding, negotiation, writing contracts is required.
-Experience with multi-site operations is preferred.
