Job Description
Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned):
· Collaborate closely with Global DTC organization for alignment on processes, resourcing, budgeting, and planning;
· Roll out and evolve global vision and strategy for eCommerce business in region; which will act as the single largest customer engagement and transaction platform within APAC;
· Create and hold P&L responsibility for eCommerce website in APAC;
· Hold P&L responsibility for all brick and mortar flagship and outlet stores in APAC;
· Enhance cross functional partnerships with marketing, sales, product, finance, and operations globally and in region to drive accountability for financial objectives, conversion rates, margin performance, and enhanced product storytelling;
· Deliver inspiring brand content across channels in addition to a premium and engaging merchandised product assortment for a regional consumer;
· Finding a bridge between current digital entities, brick & mortar, print media and event-driven properties;
· Focus on analytics and internal data to iterate and drive needed updates to current processes and new initiatives for the market;
· Develop an exceptional team that id pushing each other to be better while at the same time, enjoying what they do and where they work.
Requirements
Qualifications/Requirements:
· 8+ years of successful leadership experience in a multi-channel global retail and eCommerce environment with a focus on Asian markets, particularly Japan.
· University degree in Business, Marketing and/or relevant field.
· ECommerce leadership experience with basic technology architecture, development process, and eCommerce best practices for web merchandising and content strategy.
· Leadership experience across brick & mortar channel with an understanding of basic retail practices, operational management, and accountability for a P&L.
· Strategic in a short-term approach but able to conceptualize a bigger vision for a long-term philosophy in a shifting industry.
· Ability to understand current consumers and recognizing potential new customers, both internal and external of the Company.
· Excellent interpersonal and proactive communications skills.
· Highly adept and capable of building and maintaining trusting partnerships and relationships across the board with business unit leadership as well as with the company’s external consumer, wholesale, retail and cross-functional partners.
· Fluent in English and Japanese (written and verbal).
· Strong business development, leadership and presentation skills.
· Sociological understanding of target demographic consumer behavior.
· Global business understanding and eCommerce implementation experience desired.
· Digital eCommerce experience within either outdoor/action sports, fashion/apparel, retail or consumer-facing services.
· Product assortment planning and merchandising management experience.
· Command of consumer analytics mining tools and the resulting output.
· Hands-on digital marketing strategy and management including branded platform design, social media, display advertising, eCommerce design and execution (through fulfillment).
· Strong technical experience including oversight of web design, construction and eCommerce integration, SEO, user experience, social media deployment, database building.
·Familiarity with native and leading digital and social analytics tools (i.e. Facebook Insights, Google Analytics, Radian6, Topsy, Piquora, Nitrogram).
· Strong experience & understanding of Demandware Preferred.
