Job Description
we’re looking for a mainframe Developer who is communicative, adaptive, independent and obsessive about solving problems. You will have the opportunity to join a DevOps community (aka DevOps guild) that is leading the DevOps transformation including exciting technology opportunities with cloud, infrastructure as code, and software delivery pipelines.
You will be responsible to build applications and online insurance services consumed by frontend applications in open platforms. You will also design the overall architecture of the mainframe application and evolve it to ensure maximum performance and stability.

【Specific Activities】
・Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery.
・Provide technical leadership to team members through coaching and mentorship.
・Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.
・Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.
・Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans.
・Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software.
・Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards.
・Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.
・Analyze and resolve technical and application problems.
・Assess opportunities for application and process improvement and prepare documentation of rationale to share with team members and other affected parties.
・Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget.
・Research and evaluate a variety of software products
・Design of the overall architecture of the mainframe application
・Implementation of security and data protection
・Collaborate with Architects, Product owners, Developers, DevOps engineers to design and develop efficient software
・Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
・Contribute in the definition and dissemination of Development discipline and methodologies to the enterprise
・Contribute in the definition of secured SDLC processes
・Respect and practice DevOps culture to work effectively with DevOps engineers
•Create Proof-of-Concepts using new technologies
・Identify new technologies that improve product development and end user experience
・Participate in functional, security, performance and usability testing
・Lead and drive DevOps practices in Mainframe
•Build reusable code and libraries for future use
・Required to follow the prescribed processes and procedures of the SDLC. Contribute in the definition of SDLC processes and procedures.
・Provide off-hours support for production applications

Requirements
【Skills】
・Proficient understanding of Cobol, CICS, VSAM, DB2 and JCL.
・Proficient understanding of debugging and testing Tools
・Proficient understanding of the Software design/architecture process
・Proficient understanding of Service Oriented Architecture and Microservices Architecture
・Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, including Git, Subversion.
・Basic understanding of Agile methodology , including Scrum
・Basic understating of integration middleware such as MQ, EAI, ESB, RPC etc.

【Qualifications】
・Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field from accredited college/university or equivalent work experience
・5+ years experiences developing and maintaining mainframe applications
・Experience with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
・Experience supporting interfaces between multiple application platforms (ie; web, unix, mainframe).
・Preferable experience in life insurance domain
・Has the ability to work through constant change (continuous improvement)
・Has the ability to identify new development opportunities and best practices and communicate them to management
・A desire to mentor and coach team members
・A strong desire to work with any technologies in an effort to become a cross functional member in DevOps community

Salary Range = 7M to 11M Pkg
