CFO

Company Overview
My client is a US based global Pharmaceutical company with an excellent product pipeline and growing business. They are the market leader across multiple therapies and are internationally regarded as one of the best places to work in terms of both employee care and work life balance.

They are looking for a CFO to act as the figure head and Japan representative of 7 Business Units, managing a total team of 120 people. The successful candidate will be working closely with both APAC and the global Finance Team in the US, and will be expected to support business divisions not just from a Finance perspective but also in terms of driving strategy across multiple brands to help further develop market ownership and long-term profit growth.

Job Description
- Recruit, train, manage, and evaluate department staff
- Direct and coordinate financial planning and budget management functions
- Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget
- Ensure compliance with government reporting requirements
- Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish objectives
- Serve as primary government liaison relative to financial issues

Requirements
- Advanced Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business
- 10+ years’ relevant experience with 5+ years in a mid- to senior-level finance or accounting position
- Accounting certification preferred
- Knowledge of tax and government regulations
- Fluent in English & Japanese
