Java Engineer

The company operates Japan’s largest flash sale site with memberships totaling more than 5 million, and monthly sales of more than 100 thousand products.

Job Description
・Design, develop, and maintain microservices using modern Java frameworks (e.g Jackson, Jetty, Guice, Lombok) and various cloud services (AWS)
・Collaborate with product managers and engineers to deploy new features and improvements across a complex infrastructure of services and applications
・Identify issues and bottlenecks, fix bugs

Requirements
・3+ years of web development experience
・Experience with at least one object-oriented language (preferably Java; we also work in Scala)
・Deep understanding of computer architecture, programming, and optimization concepts
・Knowledge of and hands-on experience with relational databases
・Experience with service-oriented architectures, microservices, REST APIs, system integration
・Ability to write modular, testable code
・Ability to communicate in English at a technical level

・Computer science and/or other relevant field of study
・Standard Java/Scala development tools
・Git version control system and workflow
・Experience with an e-commerce environment
・Experience with Cloud Hosting technologies (AWS, GCP, etc)
・Experience with NoSQL databases and alternative backend storage systems
