Job Description
•Provide detailed advice on regualtions, compliance and other legal matters
•Develop internal processes to ensure that business activites are legally compliant and aligned with Group policy
•Monitor the external enviroment and provide analysis and recommendations on regulatory threats and opportunities
•Own and drive all engagement and interaction with external bodies relating to product approval and administration
•Support the business on commercial contracts
•Manage third party consultants to help shape a commercially favourable external environment
Requirements
•Japan Qualified Lawyer or Foreign Qualified Lawyer
•Experience of advising on compliance and regulatory matters
•A detailed understanding of (or ability to learn) tobacco regulation and legislation,
•An ability to assess commercial risks and opportunities against regulations
•An understanding of (or ability to learn) the requirements/processes relating to tobacco product registrations, approval and administration
•An ability to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders
