Our client is an international logistics company that is growing rapidly in Japan and is looking for an FP&A Manager to join their team.
Job Description
The company is looking to develop, manage, and control the commercial finance function of one business unit (ie. Controlling) with a primary focus on sales revenue, gross profit, expenses, capex, cash flow and balance sheet analysis. Support the business unit management in decision-making process and contribute to the achievement of the business unit objectives.
responsibilities:
-review and sign off of monthly sales and cost accrual, analyse and confirm result by customer as part of month end closing activities
-ensure the proper implementation, analysis and review of pricing and re-pricing control
-Prepare investment modelling and profitability calculations of new and existing business
-Prepare accurate and timely monthly forecast and detailed yearly budget.
-Monthly analysis and explanations of actual figures, deviations to budget and forecast
-Supports the business units to ensure the achievement of cost reduction initiatives and annual budget targets
-Support and challenge operations management whilst ensuring financial integrity
-Ensure a proper cost control in operations as well as business unit overhead
Requirements
-fluency in English
-MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel, Oracle as nice to have
-Analytical skills and high sense of accuracy
-Inter-personal skills, team player
-Ability to function at a high level in a matrix-type reporting environment
-Results driven, good in priority setting, working under pressure
-Good self and time management, organized and structured working style
-Ability to manage multiple accounts, activities and projects
-Good understanding of accounting principles (IFRS, JGAAP), must get familiar and strict adhere to all internal/external guidelines, good understanding and high sense of compliance and internal control
