We are hiring a Software engineer to provide on-premise support for our customers in Tokyo. The hired person will work as a freelance/contractor (Full time). Permanent position.
The Support Engineer is responsible for providing high-quality technical support for Verbio Products. This person will also work on other programming and documentation projects as required.
Support Engineers will deliver solutions to both technical and non-technical end users while also supporting a wide range of technologies.
Main tasks and responsibilities include:
● Be Verbio referring person for our customers in Japan.
● Must communicate in Japanese with our customers and in English with Verbio development teams.
● Provide training to customers as required.
● Fill reports on product problems and issues.
● Guide customers on installation and updates.
● Give feedback for product improvement
● Recommend solutions to ensure better customer experience.
● Ensure delivery of product fixes within committed time-frame.
● Manage requests from clients and solve them through email and phone (with help from Verbio team).
● Take ownership of technical issues and work with our Development team to solve issues when necessary.
Requirements
Technical requirements:
● Sound knowledge in programming languages (at least two of them): Python, C++, bash.
● Linux and Windows OS knowledge.
Nice-to-have requirements:
● Knowledge in deploying applications and services for medium to large scale product.
● Agile methodologies experience.
● Project management experience.
● Experience with Speech Technologies (speech recognition, text to speech, voice biometrics).
● Basic NLP (Natural Language Processing) knowledge.
● Basic Machine Learning knowledge.
Most important non-technical requirements:
● Client-facing experience.
● Written and verbal skills.
● Excellent level of Japanese.
● Excellent level of English.
