The Role
IT infrastructure manager is responsible for Information Technology.
Infrastructure for the Building & Industrial Systems Japan & Asia Pacific organization. The role will provide strategic and operational leadership for architecting and implementing IT solutions that support and securely enable the business.
The Manager, IT Infrastructure is responsible for evaluating the current IT infrastructure functions and developing a strategic plan and roadmap to address the infrastructure readiness of the organization. Develop and publish appropriate IT infrastructure strategies, policies, procedures, standards, tools and guidelines to promote cost-effective infrastructure solutions. Evaluate information systems, platforms, and IT operating procedures to drive standardization and optimization across the enterprise.
Key Outcome & Tasks
The Manager, IT Infrastructure is responsible for all aspects of IT infrastructure operations and related performance management. This individual will evaluate and integrate infrastructure solutions into the
overall organization. This individual will also ensure that these technologies and services align with business strategic principles and policy guidelines. S/he will drive process changes across the organization, and will develop the appropriate key performance measures. Span of control includes the following areas:
Network Telephony Desktop/Servers
Data Center Operations
Enterprise Storage
Infrastructure applications (directory services, email services, etc.) Others as assigned
The Manager, IT Infrastructure is responsible for the ongoing growth and development of assigned team members.
Prepare and maintain the operating and capital budgets for IT Infrastructure, and identify cost reduction opportunities. Drive operational efficiencies that improve profitability and customer satisfaction.
Provide technical recommendations on the selection of infrastructure, platforms and related technologies; apply financial rigor, risk assessment and business rationale to all initiatives to help the management team arrive at decisions that maximize business performance.
Work closely with the Senior Leadership team to provide infrastructure guidance and oversee the infrastructure project portfolio; set appropriate enterprise expectations, manage risks and ensure organization achieves anticipated value; ensure infrastructure initiatives are tied to strategic initiatives.
Analyzes IT industry trends making recommendations regarding the relative impact to current and future enterprise infrastructure needs. Produce metrics showing operational compliance with best practices.
Experience
10 years experiences in Information Technology
5 Years in a management role
Experience implementing Cisco Networking technology
Experience with MS Office 365 cloud systems Deep knowledge of and passion for IT systems Excellent managerial skills and communication
