Company Overview<br/>Industry leading personal devices insurance company.<br/><br/>Job Description<br/>Job Description<br/>The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for managing the day to day activities of the Platform and Operations Portfolio Management team. The Sr. Manager will report directly to the Sr.Director of Platform and Operations and will lead a team of project managers to ensure they are performing at the highest level and delivering exceptional customer service. This role serves as a channel for communication between project managers and key stakeholders who make strategic decisions for the projects. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members in order to deliver the portfolio according to plan. The Sr. Manager should be familiar with Project Management frameworks and industry best practices.<br/>Essential Functions <br/><br/>Develops and implements cultural change, policies, process, procedures, standards, methods, and priorities for areas of responsibility.<br/>Selects, deploys, and promotes continual awareness of “best practices” for project management and organization change management services throughout Platform and Operations.<br/>Develops and maintains a comprehensive strategy for successful delivery and optimization of project and resource management competencies to meet the company’s long-term vision, goals, and business direction.<br/>Process owner for Project & Program Management<br/>Selects and maintains project management tools for Platform and Operations project planning, tracking, and reporting according to Platform and Operations standards.<br/>Owns the Project Management Methodology and associated training.<br/>Defines project and portfolio reporting requirements; provides portfolio reporting for stakeholders.<br/>Helps drives cross team prioritization.<br/>Supports audit needs when required.<br/>Responsible for resource allocation and planning for areas of responsibility.<br/>Coordinates and aligns department activities with business priorities and strategies.<br/><br/>Requirements<br/>Qualifications <br/><br/>BA in Business or BS required. <br/>10+ years experience in IT with emphasis in project management.<br/>Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in managing projects in a complex cross functional environment through the entire project lifecycle required. <br/>Proven ability to lead.<br/>Ability to utilize multiple software delivery methodologies as required; (i.e., Agile SCRUM and Waterfall (MSF)). <br/>Proficient with MS-Project, MS-Excel, MS-Word, MS-Power-Point, SharePoint, and Visio. <br/>PMP certification preferred. <br/>Proven success driving change initiatives from ‘current state’ to ‘future state’.<br/>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.<br/>Must be fluent in both English and Japanese.<br/>Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.<br/>Strong interpersonal relationship skills.<br/>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.<br/>Demonstrated process improvement techniques.<br/>Demonstrated cultural change initiatives.<br/><br/>
