Job Responsibilities

Position Summary:
We have more than 70 million users and provides some of the most popular Internet services in Japan today.
Terabytes of data are generated every day and once processed need to be available for services and business people.
We are looking for excellent engineers who have the passion and competence to solve technical issues and design and implement complex scalable distributed back-end data processing systems based on modern no-SQL solutions.
Aware of new technologies and new trends regarding application development, you will provide your software engineering expertise to build highly available data analytics platform that processes large data sets in real time.


Responsibilities:
- Work in concert with data scientists by complementing them with your extensive software engineering expertise.
- Design, implement, test, deploy and maintain complex backend systems while striving to meet all the business requirements within a tight development schedule.
- Scale data processing algorithms by parallelization and distribution.


Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
- BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical discipline
- High performance mission-critical application development experience
- Strong algorithm development skills
- Strong Java programming skills
- Feel at home on Linux systems
- Experience working with very large datasets or datastreams
- Communication skill in English (TOEIC 800 or above)


English: Business level *Have TOEIC score over 800
Japanese: Conversational level
