Job Description
■Develop and implement the company's tech strategy
-Det and lead tech strategy in line with company's overall strategy
-Design roadmap, tech initiatives and concrete action items. Plan timeline and required resources (budget and HR)
-Communicate and collaborate with the colleagues outside tech department to ensure everyone is aligned with the tech strategy
■Product Development
-Overall data management including establishing mechanism to collect, store and control quality of data from all partner companies
-Project implementation will include:
*Visit partner companies and meet clients and staff to understand the local context and needs
*Work with relevant internal team and external vendors (as needed) to develop tech products
-Lead the tech team, delegate responsibilities, build up and expand the team’s capabilities
■Research and thought leadership
-Collect the latest fintech information all over the world
-Research on best practices in the sector, analyze competitors’ tech development
-Evaluate potential tech initiatives/applications
■Corporate management as a CTO
-Work on management decision matters
-Closely coordinate with the Board on Board decision matters
Requirements
-10+ years of experience working in tech development (including front-end product development) and project implementation with increasing responsibility as project manager working with a team of engineers
-3+ years of managerial position with strong leadership component
-Be a creative and innovative technologist
-Strong communication skills to communicate with the engineers and also the field staff in partner companies
-Experience in emerging markets/ developing countries is preferred
-Past experience as a CTO in a fintech startup is a big plus
-At least Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
-Fluency in English (Japanese NOT required)
