Job Description
As a Business Analyst, you will be tasked with eliciting requirements from our Business Stakeholders along with the associated priorities, providing an opportunity for development teams to successfully deliver to business expectations, both explicit and implicit.
As a Senior member of the team you will demonstrate leadership qualities and will be required to assume accountability for team outcomes. You may also be required to accept line management responsibilities for team members.
• Drive a shared understanding across business and technical stakeholders.
• Translate business language into technical requirements.
• Translate technical language into business language for effective updates.
• Create and maintain good working relationships with business and technical stakeholders.
• Investigate business workflows and understand the technical architecture of specific systems.
• Be a consultant to the business. Provide technical advice and insight to current and new systems.
• Manage business stakeholder expectations through clear and accurate communication.
• Prepare and present training materials on new and/or existing features as required.
• Collaborate with Technology team members within your team and across other teams to deliver outstanding results for our business stakeholders.
• Training and Mentoring colleagues in client engagement.
• Provide leadership and help drive shared responsibility for delivery outcomes within the Commerce IT team.
• Provide guidance within the practice of Business Analysis and contribute to the continual improvement of the practice.
• Ensure training materials on new and/or existing features are kept up-to-date.
• Open to travel internationally to engage with the Australia SME Support team.
Requirements
Basics:
• Certificate/Degree qualification.
• 5 years proven digital development and project delivery experience.
• At least 2 years’ Experience within a Global Enterprise Organization
• Relevant industry experience and certifications.
Must Have:
• Fluency in English and Japanese
• Strong communication skills – both written and verbal in both languages
• Active listening skills.
• Ability to understand and effectively engage with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to read a code language. (Preferred .Net)
• Ability to utilize various elicitation techniques to obtain requirements.
• Able to work in a sole capacity or as part of a team.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the development team.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - ability to think analytically to identify potential issues and solutions - both short term and long-term options.
