Job Description
Briefing:
The right candidate we need is a leader who will be in charge of exploring, negotiating and contracting with hotels on room-selling and package business in Japan.
Responsibilities:
1.Initiate, acquire and develop direct hotel partnerships to meet Company’s objectives;
2.Ensure revenue goals for market and control costs within budget;
3.Recruit, develop, manage, retain, lead a team of market managers and coordinators to ensure adherence to all targets and KPIs;
4.Ensure good and pro-active team work with subordinates, colleagues and superiors;
5.Provide the team and the senior management with regular, constructive and relevant feedback;
6.Prepare and present high quality weekly reviews;
7.Share and seek out best practices and knowledge;
8.Lead training initiatives;
9.Work with hotel partners to secure market deals and promotions with hotels;
10.Ensure price competitiveness of product;
11.Plan and execute regular and relevant partner visits according to the goals, targets and objectives;
12.Attend and participate to all relevant trade shows, workshops and local events necessary to achieve goals and represent the company in line with company guidelines;
13.Share relevant data and information with the partners to ensure a high level of communication and feedback to optimize performance;
14.Verify, analyze and understand all available data and reports by giving continuously feedback on the quality of the data;
15.Ensure operational goals are achieved;
16.Obtain inventory and long term agreements with our supply partners;
17.Coordinate with central management on planning and objectives;
18.Establish individual goals and conduct direct reports performance reviews;
19.Travel within the assigned markets;
20.Develop, and own relationships with key decision makers at hotels, hotel groups, associations and other relevant industry bodies.
Requirements
<Qualifications>
1.Bachelor’s or equivalent degree required; Oral Chinese ability is preferable.
2.3+ years progressive hotel sales and marketing experience dealing with travel agent, wholesaler, OTA, etc. Preferably senior sales manager, business development director or DOS specializing in Hotel Management or equivalent.
3.Min 5 years’ experience managing a team, with a proven success record in setting KPIs and sales and marketing strategies.
4.E-commerce, hospitality or travel industry expertise a must.
5.Ability to communicate value proposition to potential partners.
6.Strong numerical, analytic and interpersonal skills (externally and internally).
7.Highly disciplined work habits, past success in mentoring and building sales organizations that cater to long term customer relationships.
<Other Requirements>
1.Working day 9:00am--6:00pm, Monday to Friday;
2.Location: Tokyo;
3.Benefits include insurance, foreign travel, etc. according to the local rules and regulations in Japan.
