Work details
Responsibilities:
-Oversee revenue management and distribution strategy of the hotel and manage day to day yield operations.
-Responsible to achieve optimum yield in order to maximize revenue and achieve goals in business plan.
-Perform Forecast, Revenue Analysis and Revenue Management activities.
-Manage Online Travel Agent (OTAs) in Japan and Own Brand Website (IBE).
-Monitor the competitive environment to develop rate strategies.
-Recommend/Initiate promotion plan and track/review business pickups.
-Prepare and review business update reports for management.
-Ensure all related systems are configured correctly, validated and working to full capacity.
-Overall management of the Reservations and Inventory Department.
-Ensure website booking process is functional and maintained up-to-date.
-Conduct property performance review and develop strategic and tactical action.
-Performing any other ad-hoc projects and duties as and when required.
-Demonstrate thorough knowledge on hotel products.
-Responsible for daily reservations operations and staff planning.
-To conduct daily briefings and team trainings.
-Ensure SOPs are kept up-to-date and adhered to.
-Responsible in ensuring all reservations tabulation/reports are completed on time.
-Responsible in ensuring all daily tasks are carried out diligently by the team.
-Maintains the reservations integrity – ensuring all information in PMS are accurate.
-To be ready and responsible to perform any other duties as designated or required by Management from time to time.
Requirements:
-Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Qualification in Hospitality Revenue/Yield Management or equivalent.
-Minimum work experience of 2 years in the Hospitality Revenue Management and Reservations role in a supervisory capacity. Hotel pre-opening experience preferred.
-Professional business proficient in English and Japanese; verbal and written.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other applicable computer systems and software.
-Possess strong understanding in the principles of forecasting and analysis.
-Sound ability and knowledge to develop standards of operations and strategic processes.
-Possess good analytical and numeric skills for fast data crunching.
-Able to develop relationships with third parties in Japan and the hotel teams.
-Capacity to read situation, understand environments and respond accordingly.
-Demonstrate strong capability in prioritizing between revenue generating actions and time consuming tasks with low yield impact.
-Mentality of client service and taking responsibility beyond direct duties.
-Able to manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
