Work details
Responsibilities:
-Handle local and international travel agents and wholesalers with individual and group travel potential for the hotel.
-Establish new accounts & maintain relationship with existing travel agents and wholesalers.
-Participate in Day-to-day sales activities & adhoc agent & hotel activities.
-Act as the responsible liaison between the hotel and with the travel agents and wholesalers.
-Work closely with the operations team to deliver the best to our guests and the revenue team to optimize the room rates.
-Achieve various monthly sales targets set to meet overall cluster budget.
-Assist in maintaining up-to-date sales control procedures.
-Follow up with clients whose payments are outstanding and long overdue.
-Generate new sales leads and maintains the relationship with present clients, and customers through sales calls and regular site inspection/entertainment.
-Follow up with clients whose payments are outstanding and long overdue.
-Assist in the ‘meet & greet’ duties at the airport during delay flights (whenever necessary).
-Assist in maintaining an up-to-date sales control procedures.
-Assist in promotional activities to increase business for the Hotel.
-Present Account Portfolio on a quarterly basis and analysis on performance of each account.
-Handle inquiries and follow through, managing communication within the hotel and with clients.
-Manage corporate meetings, corporate banquet events, residential and non-residential meeting groups or travel trade accounts where applicable.
-Follow through on group arrangements.
-Participate in the departments sales activities and other relevant activities.
-Provide management with timely Sales & Marketing strategic information pertaining to securing new accounts, loss of existing accounts and suggestions to re-secure such accounts, complaints by clients and corrective action taken, competitors’ activities, discounts, practices and irregularities and Sales Statistics – weekly, monthly and accumulative.
-Perform other duties assigned by Management.
Qualifications
-Minimum Diploma or Degree in Hospitality/Tourism/Hotel Management or equivalent.
-Minimum work experience of 3 years of sales experience in hospitality industry.
-Professional business proficient in English and Japanese, verbal and written.
-Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
-Positive & driven attitude.
-Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
-Drive and acute business acumen to achieve results.
-Ability to work under pressure and under own initiative.
-Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service.
