Job Description
You will leverage your solid understanding of macro and micro trends and issues to deliver synthesized, actionable facts and insights to solve client's business issues or use this as part of new knowledge codification efforts.
In this role, you will use both primary and secondary research tools and perform a variety of research and analysis such as market sizing, trend identification, opportunity scan, growth projection, industry and corporate profiling. The synthesized insights will subsequently help in your problem solving discussions in client engagements. Aside from client engagements, you will have opportunities to develop and codify knowledge on new and emerging topics of relevance to the consumer/retail market in the firm more broadly. As you develop and grow in the firm, you will be exposed to diverse and challenging opportunities. You will build deep industry knowledge in Japan and develop into a true knowledge thought partner for consultants and clients.
Opportunities are also abound for you to enhance your people leadership and management skills through mentoring opportunities as well as involvement in functional priorities such as evaluation, recruitment and training for the Japan research & analytics team.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Undergraduate degree from a reputed institution; MBA or masters degree is preferred
Work experience in either supply chain, manufacturing or procurement areas in medical devices or pharmaceuticals
Advanced work in a business-related discipline or a subject relevant to the area of focus is a plus
Solid understanding of economic, financial and general business concepts and terminology
Strong IT skills including proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and basic business tools
Strong analytics skills and knowledge of SAS, SPSS, Alteryx and Tableau is a plus
Track record of creatively retrieving, analyzing and presenting complex industry and business information
Superior problem-solving, analytical and quantitative skills
Experience in managing multiple, simultaneous and demanding deadlines
Inquisitive and investigative nature
Entrepreneurial mindset
Professional attitude and service orientation; superb team player
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
For non-Japanese, advanced-level Japanese (Japanese Language Proficiency Test level)
