Job Description
The Research Distribution IT team works globally to support our business partners with a mission critical system that delivers research in a fast, stable, and efficient manner to their clients. You will be joining a global team to refresh the technology platform for Research Distribution. The business has put renewed priority on the distribution platform, and there are a number of new feature initiatives as well as a technology overhaul planned.

 Application development/enhancements - manage and take full ownership of the assigned tasks/project including user engagement, release planning, post release testing etc.
 Work closely with business users & business IT teams - propose, drive and deliver technical solutions to meet their requirements
 Work on platform stability and maintenance e.g. automate support, release, deployment and other RTB tasks
 High quality deliveries within the expected timeframe (e.g. documentation, code/test coverage, code review, testing, post-release checks) and adherence to the Nomura/team SDLC procedure/policies
 Provide 2nd & 3rd level production support - work with production support teams on day to issues/queries/releases, ensure it get resolved/addressed in a timely manner without causing any outage

Requirements
 Able to communicate with business users in Japanese (minimum JLPT N3 level) in writing and conversation.
 Core web application development (3-6 years) - strong in fundamentals of HTML/CSS, web server configuration, deploying SPAs.
 Core Java development JDK 8 or above (+3 years)
 Core Spring / Spring Boot (+2 years)
 JavaScript / TypeScript (+3 years)
 Web UI framework experience - React /VueJS (+2 year)
 Strong relational database & SQL experience (+2 years)
 Cloud / Micro Service / Container based technologies (+2 years)
