THE COMPANY
Our client is a well-established, global entertainment company.
THE JOB
The manager will have responsibility for the coordination and management of cross-segment budgeting and forecasting processes. The candidate will also serve as a critical business partner to identifying, researching and analyzing key business trends and potential business opportunities. The position will have high exposure to business and financial leaders, helping to assess and explain key issues as well as make and carry out strategic recommendations. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate annual 5-Year Plan, annual budget and quarterly forecast processes
- Support preparation of ops finance budgeting and forecasting materials, including analyses and templates to understand key variances and change drivers
- Analyze key business trends and provide proactive decision support, including development and maintenance of key performance indicators (KPIs) and timely follow-up actions
- Work with Japan accounting team to resolve any reporting discrepancies and address questions related to forecasts and actuals
- Work with department heads to monitor and control budgets, including analysis of new business opportunities and ROI
- Lead FP&A for cross-segment sales and marketing teams
REQUIREMENTS
- A university degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in roles of increasing responsibility
- Accounting experience and experience of forecasting and budgeting process
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Logical and analytical thinking, attention to detail
- Ability to identify potential problems or discrepancies and recommend solutions and ideas to drive improvement
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial spirit with ability to deal with ambiguous and fast-paced working environment
