Who we areThe Sales Operations team at Twitter partners with Global Sales and Marketing teams to drive revenue, craft and execute sales strategy, and lead all internal systems and sales learning programs to drive productivity. What you will doAs a Regional Sales Operations Manager (RSOM), you will be a member of the the Japan team and looked to as a leader in the organisation. You will build and execute core operational processes - such as business planning, reporting, and ongoing business operations management. You will also play a critical role in providing direct learning and sales capability development support to the sales organization. You will have overall and day to day responsibility for ensuring that the sales curriculum, sales systems & tools and and strategic sales skills development align with the sales organization’s business plan and support and contribute to their success.The Japan role is also part of the broader Asia Pacific (APAC) team, and responsibilities often extend to cross-region projects, potentially impacting business from India to Australia.You will be a self-starter, independent thinker, deeply analytical and detailed-oriented, and capable of working in a structured manner to thrive in ambiguity. Our team does not shy away from rolling up our sleeves, slicing and dicing massive sets of information, and building solutions to problems that have not been taken on yet.What does success in this role look like?You will embed yourself with the sales team and become the strategy and operations backbone for those teams. You will present strategic insights and recommendations to senior management and partners in the Sales, Finance and Marketing, and Support organisations critical to maintaining or developing long-term relationships with key brands and agencies. You will be the go-to person in the Twitter Sales org if anyone wants to know “what is happening” in your region. You will often independently identify issues, problem solve, and with enthusiasm drive solutions - people come to you when they have a tough problem and don’t know how to solve it.Core responsibilities:Strategy and operations:-You will drive operational logistics including optimizing resource allocation across teams, measuring progress against sales goals, and assisting in key sales management meetings.-You will help find opportunities to improve sales team efficiencies, and lead efforts to scale standard best practices across your vertical/region.-You will work with our cross functional partners (Sales teams, engineering, Finance, HR) to ensure successful execution of key projects, while continually finding opportunities for ongoing program improvements.-You will participate and help steer global initiatives as appropriate and ensure that global initiatives are rolled out properly to every region/vertical.-You will conduct strategic market insights including competitive landscape analysis to help formulate go to market plans.-You will actively participate in building quarterly business reviews with the sales teams.Sales Learning:-You will make recommendations for learning interventions to measurably improve seller performance. -You will ensure that Global Sales Learning programs are sufficiently customized to ensure sales teams are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skill to effectively meet sales targets.-You will conduct bottoms-up learning needs analysis regularly.-You will conduct joint planning sessions with Research, Brand Strategy, Agency Teams and Global Business Marketing to ensure that the quarterly sales training schedule and content are aligned with the sales and marketing objectives-Advocate and deliver programs designed and developed centrally, as well as modify programs as needed to reflect Japan specific requirements.-Japan specific requirements:-Experience - or excitement about - working in an international setting or organization-Ability to translate both business requirements and cultural norms between Japan and International contexts is critical.-Native or Business-level proficiency in both English and Japanese is required. Requirements:-5+ years work experience-Experience working in an international company.-Analytical thinker and structured problem solver.-Comfortable to work in ambiguity with a bent towards fast execution and iteration.-Project management mindset on task execution.-BA/BS degree or equivalent with specialization in marketing, finance, business, or related field of study.-Experience researching and manipulating complex and large data sets.-Strong working knowledge and skills in spreadsheet and presentation software.-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.-Experience using a consulting approach to identify and build effective learning solutions-Facilitation experience and the ability to lead programs such as strategy planning sessions.-Experience working across multiple functions/ business units, influencing
