OVERVIEWA systems production support specialist is sought to support equity trading systems for clients. The hiring company is a very famous, global financial trading solutions company. You will be working in central Tokyo, in a tightly-knit team that prides in helping one another. They deliver the best of breed products using world class technology connected to all the worlds' major markets.Client Support EngineerThe Client Support Engineer will support and maintain Execution Management Systems. You must be comfortable sharing early and late shifts with other members of the team.Presently the shifts run between 08:00 and 19:30 JST - but are subject to change in response to the business requirements.Responsibilities: Client support for buy side trading application. Analyze and manage issues to resolution Full ownership of issues and projects. Active monitoring of error logs and first hand investigation of the issues. Internal testing of new releases Coordination of various setup changes and functionality enhancement requests. Project management for on-boarding large institutional (buy side) clients. Documentation of specification and manuals. Buy side client relationship managementREQUIREMENTS Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently in a fast-paced environment, and prioritize as required.Ability to take ownership of projects & issues, and autonomously manage through to completionExperience with supporting a trading platform.Good business knowledge of Equities and Futures transaction.Previous experience working in a financial institution in support role.Business level of fluency in both Japanese and English Basic Network knowledgeSpecific Technical SkillsPreferable - FIX protocol experience (Primarily 4.2, ability to understand raw without aid of GUI)Exposure to Windows environment as a user, ideally as workstation support engineer
