Job Description
- Manage and support locally a universal standardized and consistent functional controls, policies, processes and procedures in the business in line with global policy to support region’s continued growth across the region and drive the continuous improvement of Accounting and Financial Processes to achieve best practices and optimal output
- To ensure that internal controls, procedures and guidelines conform to corporate directives, human resources policies, industry practices and government rules
- To ensure that the financial practice and corporate financial statements adhere to and are compliant with all accounting principles (GAAP) and international financial reporting standards (IFRS) across the region and adhere to company global policy and enhance existing procedures to improve control, measurement and/or productivity where necessary.
- Manage the finance operations of Japan including Cash, AR, AP & GL management, sales commission and general accruals, payroll administration and sales commission pay-out calculation.
- Work with Japan Controller and local management to drive the forecasting process for business operations. Support and maintain a multi-year rolling monthly forecast model that is coordinated with the territory leadership and Budget.
- Peparation of the annual budget and budget tracking reports i.e. monthly variance analysis

Requirements
- A university degree or equivalent
- 3 years or more of general accounting experience
- Team oriented with the ability to contribute
- Detail, process and control oriented
