Company Overview
My client is a US-based Pharmaceutical company that is consistently ranked as one of the best places to work worldwide. They have an established business in Japan and are growing steadily, with a great pipeline of revolutionary products. They are looking for an APAC Accounting Manager to join their team and to work closely with not just the local and regional organizations, but also the global Finance team based at US HQ.
Job Description
Your main job duties will be as follows:
- Leading the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, including internal reporting
- Working closely with the Business Planning team to support Budgeting and Analysis processes
- Helping to develop SOX and Internal Control legislation
- Helping to manage commercial analytics and revenue recognition across multiple product lines
- Providing advice to support the FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and Corporate Accounting team across both Japan and the APAC region
- Assist with Audit processes
Requirements
- CPA or similar qualification is advantageous
- At least 8 years of Finance experience in a listed company
- Strong Technical Accounting knowledge, including US-GAAP experience
- SOX knowledge
- SAP experience welcome
- Business English and Fluent Japanese
