Company Overview
Our client is a world leader in cutting edge consumer influencing technology, with partnerships worldwide with some of the biggest and best know brands. Due to expand further into the Japanese market, we are partnering with them to find a new Managing Director.
Job Description
As Managing Director you will be responsible for all aspects of the Japanese business, from strategy and leadership, managing the P&L, and overseeing business development, sales and market penetration efforts, while hands-on managing the financials of the day-to-day business.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, and ideally a working experience of a consumer-focused product or service.
• Experience of managing a small-to-mid sized business, with the ability to drive strategy and actively influence the direct the business.
• A background in finance and accounting is preferred, but we are open to candidates from differing backgrounds if they have the other requirements and a head for numbers.
• Fluent or native level Japanese and very strong English to manage the relationship with headquarters.
