Job Description
Position Summary:
Security and safety of the Internet services of our business group are guaranteed by the IT Security Engineering Office. We cover all aspects of the SDLC and operation security for the services developed inside our business.

As a part of the security training team, the training and awareness engineer will be responsible for becoming the advocate and promote the awareness of security inside and outside of the company. The training and awareness engineer will be dedicated to lead, create, and offer continuous improvement of the technical security training program inside of our business.


Responsibilities:

Ensure the smooth operation of our technical security training program
Create and offer online/classroom security trainings and awareness activities to engineers inside of the Rakuten Group
Be the security advocate inside our business to promote the importance of cyber security
Stay up-to-date in the security news and trend, actively sharing the information to the tech community through means like newsletter
Communicating with organization leaders and engineers to understand the requirements, propose solutions, and implement accepted plans


Minimum Qualifications:

Around 3 years of experience in security related fields, such as Security Engineer/Consultants, System Administrators, Web/Mobile Developers
Passionate in teaching, and always strive to find best method to deliver trainings with maximum engagements
Understanding of the core concepts of security in web/mobile application, servers and network appliances
Deep understandings in network and web application protocols



Preferred Qualifications:


Around 3 years of experience in creating and providing online/classroom security trainings
Experience in using and managing commercial and/or open source Learning Management System
Understanding SCORM format and experienced in creating interactive e-learnings in SCORM format
Experience in Web/Mobile application development
Experience in developing with major web frameworks
Experience in Web/Mobile Penetration Testing and/or Vulnerability Assessment
Experience with at least one major commercial cloud environment
Proficient in one or more scripting languages, ex: Python, Ruby, PowerShell
Experience in a diverse workplace, and work well in a team environment
Holder of any security related certifications, ex: Security+, GIAC, OSCP/OSCE, SSCP, CISSP
Strong verbal and written communications skill
Strong ownership and sense of responsibility
