Company Overview
This role provides technical laboratory support to develop additive packages and finished lube blends
using DI, VM, and base oils to meet the needs of customers mainly in Japan.
Job Description
• Perform testing on lubricants and fuels to support Development and Deployment activities.
• Handle lubricants/additives/other chemicals and do blending work.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments.
• Trouble-shoot equipment/instrument problems.
• Prepare samples for external testing or for customers.
• Keep clear, accurate records of all laboratory operations.
• Support safety and quality related activities.
• Support documentation of product performance claims such as product brochures and field trial data, etc.
• Provide relevant technical support data to Infineum sales team, customers and OEMs when requested by
Technologists.
• Any additional responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
High level of safety awareness
• Ability to work both as a team member and independently
• Ability to plan and organise multiple tasks
• Competent in testing of lubricant/fuel and lubricant additives according to industry standards
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential
• Strong mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in any of oil, chemical or analytical laboratories are preferable
• Basic knowledge on lubricants/additives/chemicals is helpful
Additional Job Information
・Japanese proficiency is essential, and willingness to improve English skills is desirable
