THE JOB


- To be responsible for an efficient and effective day-to-day work routine and to ensure a proper month-end closing with timely preparation of accurate financial statement and reports.- Ensure revenues are audited and posted daily to the correct account codes.
- Prepare the corporate tax returns and ensure payment is process in a timely manner to take advantage of any discounts offered, cash flow permitting based on discussion with Director of Finance.
- Prepare all month-end entries. Review the results with Director of Finance investigating variances to budget.- Ensure all bank accounts and other Balance Sheet accounts are reconciled monthly.  Investigate outstanding items, follow-up to clear them prior to next month-end.-  To supervise credit management in ensuring that all the precautionary measures have been implemented and all the outstanding debts are collected on a timely basis to minimize bad debts as far as possible.
- To ensure that an organized, up-to-date filing system is maintained for all pertinent financial records.- Create a conducive working environment within the Accounting department- Provide direction, assistance and training to the accounting staff.- Liaise with internal and external auditors to provide them with required documentations and backups.
- To assist the Heads of Departments in decision-making by providing relevant financial data.- To supervise the each accounting section in all the tasks in the month end closing and to check the financial reports before forwarding for review by the Director of Finance.

REQUIREMENTS


- A university degree or equivalent
- A minimum of 8 years of finance and accounting experience- Team leadership experience
