For their Tokyo office, which is focusing mainly on four industries such as Transportation/Mobility and Industrial Equipment, they are currently looking for a Revenue Recognition Analyst APAC to join the team of six Analysts across APAC region.
Job Description
•Responsible for the monthly and quarterly close processes for deferred revenue including the preparation of monthly account reconciliations and journal entries within published close timeline
•Review customer agreements and other required documents for appropriate revenue recognition in accordance with company policies and revenue recognition standards
•Responsible for the preparation of supporting revenue recognition documentation for significant transactions
•Understand and respond to all aspects of the revenue process including identification and resolution of revenue issues using system inquiry and analytical skills
•Advise and assist Sales and executive level on revenue recognition topics for specific deals under negotiation and provide recommendations to protect the business
•Ensure internal controls are efficient and operate in respect of Group Compliance policies including proper approval
•Participate in the transition to IFRS15
Requirements
•Bachelor's degree in Business including accounting and finance preferred
•Strong experience in Finance/Corporate Accounting and knowledgeable on IFRS
•Proven experience in revenue recognition
•Experience with ERPs a plus
•Strong verbal, written communication skills, and interpersonal skills to provide good business partnering support with a customer service focus
•Ability to speak English and Japanese fluently
•Ability to work independently with strong time management discipline
•Proactive, meticulous and adaptable team player
