Job Description
- Oversee and manage all 3PL warehouses and operations.
- Team Management of 2 Logistics Specialist, Pharmacist at AbbVie DC.
- Track 3PL metrics, review 3PL monthly bill and break down/track charges, carrier claims, inventory management- returns, credits, expired, damaged, inspection, shipping/In-transit issues, and address open issues.
- Oversee and manage Company procedures associated with Inventory Record Integrity.
- Oversee responsible Logistic and Inventory control activities to ensure company goals and objectives are met.
- Subject matter expert for SAP WM modules related to inventory accuracy, cycle counting, inventory availability.
- Ensure GMP Compliance and audit readiness at all times
- Ensure area personnel are appropriately trained in relation to their position.
- Define responsibilities and set objectives for Logistics individuals and groups.
- Monitor area paperwork for accuracy and compliance.
- Act as Lead representative in area audits (internal and external)
- Act as area representative for any project based implementations in logistics.
- Develop, implement and maintain customs compliance policies, procedures and documentation.
- Develop and implement standard work for all required record-keeping.
- Directly manage record-keeping pertaining to the Logistic function, and coordinate with the Finance with respect to financial records (invoices, payment confirmations, etc.)
- Continuously study and upgrade global trade compliance business knowledge and translate into actionable business recommendations and business plans.
- Keep current on regulatory changes, interpret the impact and distribute to appropriate personnel.
- Serve as primary interface with Global Trade & Compliance – JAPAC on import related issues.
- Conduct periodic import self- assessments and implement any necessary corrective actions.
- Analyze and interpret requirements for import compliance as they relate to the Japan Customs and other applicable government agency rules and regulations.
- Provide guidance to management and resolve matters pertaining to import transactions and International Trade Sanctions to ensure compliance with all applicable Japanese laws and regulations.

Ability to set up right priorities and allocating resources
Bachelor’s degree in operations, supply chain management, engineering or similar discipline, and a minimum of 5 years in logistics; of which, 2 years of managerial and people management is required. Must have the ability to develop individuals and establish positive team dynamics.
Established track record of being detail-oriented. Willing and able to personally handle the standard work of the import compliance function.
Proven ability to manage and function well within a complex reporting relationship, and satisfy accountabilities to a wide range of internal and external customers.
Strong communication skills.
Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred) and IT systems in relation to supply chain and distribution dependencies.
Process oriented and results driven, with strong planning and execution skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
Ability to work well with others.
Works in a pleasant office environment with other department staff, utilizing a computer workstation and various software applications, frequent interaction with production. Specific work schedule is coordinated with direct supervisor.
Travel requirement: Some local and global travel required – typically not to exceed 10%.
