My client is an American chemical company from the US that is looking for a talented Financial Analyst to join their growing team here in Japan. They currently have around 50 people based in Tokyo, and have successfully enjoyed year-on-year growth to build their brand into a market leader not just in Japan and APAC but also across the US and Europe.
Job Description
The key role of the Financial Analyst in this business is to contribute business growth through efficient and effective data analysis and reporting and to contribute to the standardizing of all business processes.
•Prepare market or business update/report/analysis with inputs from sales team; business systems; external market reports etc. to support Finance Controller/ General Manager / BU Heads and Global
•Understand organizational change management principles and how information should be used to enhance organizational performance, actively communicate and collaborate with external and internal to analyze information needs and functional requirements; provide support on business analysis, strategic/business planning as well as implementation of specific initiatives/projects.
•Measure and monitor regularly the implementation of country business strategy, specific group targets and action items. Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
•Support Finance Controller/ General Manager / BU Heads to develop communication package to local key suppliers/customers.
•Facilitate management meetings/workshops to extract key information to develop strategies, objectives and action plans.
•Align with Regional to support the consistent business processes, documentation and maintenance
Requirements
•Bachelor of Accounting or equivalent; CPTA, CPA, MBA, Certified SME Management Consultant is a plus.
•Solid and strong experience from MNC with at least 2-3 years as FP&A/ Business Analyst; Experience in Chemical industry background is a plus
•Knowledge of using ERP system; Oracle JDE system is a big plus
•Good knowledge of general accounting principles
•Strong numeric sense, Structural and logical thinking
•Advanced Excel skills for data management
•Strong oral and written (English) communications and presentation skills
