Cost Analyst

Company Overview
My client is a listed US company with around 2000 staff in Japan, and they are a market leader in the production of electronics used within the IT, Automotive, and Consumer industries. The Japan division is responsible for 25% of all global sales, and works closely with both APAC and global HQ in the US. They have two manufacturing sites here in Japan, and have a strong and stable business that is growing rapidly.

Job Description
This is an analyst position in the global finance department of a large international electronics manufacturer. Your role will cover a wide area of the business, including analysis of both domestic and overseas factories, supply chain headquarters, product managers, procurement, national cost management, and reporting to the head office in the US. You will become an indispensable business partner for the company's long-term growth and profit creation strategy.

Responsibilities:

- Tracking and reporting of appropriate KPIs related to the operation of eight plants in Japan and overseas
- Analysis of monthly factory performance, summarized. Cooperate with overseas factory controllers and cost managers to analyze issues, formulate improvement action plans, analyze effects, provide comments, etc.
- Analysis and support for important business decisions such as new product development and product transfer
- Project participation and support work for developing appropriate product cost
- Medium- to long-term factory capacity analysis, 5-year modeling support work
- Analytical support for periodical standard cost update

Requirements
Must:
- Communication in English (mail, verbal)
- Knowledge or experience in basic accounting field (about 2-3 years)
- Self-starter personality

Desired:
- Experience in manufacturing industry
- Cost accounting knowledge about bookkeeping grade 2 (if it is desirable)
- Business level (TOEIC + 700)
