Senior Application Architect

Job Description
Our client is looking for a passionate Senior Application Architect to incorporate the internal system area. Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
Manage IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance
Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness
Coordinate changes between services and stakeholders, and identify expectations from both sides
Drive changes towards improving quality and productivity with respect to data transport and manipulation
Foster a mindset that increases automation and reduces manual operations
Maintain a relationship map between systems
Manage a system road map
Reports service and data changes to stakeholders


Minimum Qualifications:
Quick to understand relationship between teams and services
Has the ability to handle and prioritize many external requests on the development team and to assign resources effectively.
Has the ability to see the big picture and deliver results in the time frames required, adjusting scope accordingly
Experience in leading technical decision discussions in a small team

English: Business level, verbal and written
Japanese: Excellent in reading and analyzing Japanese documents

Strong problem-solving and communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to multi-task, taking initiative to determine priorities and change directions to meet goals; ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with diverse groups, executives, managers, and each subject experts
Capability to define user requirements both without and with designing a technical solution

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Web Application Design and Programming
Experience in system design
Comfortable navigating internet applications and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Familiar with internet technologies, and a cross cultural working environment
