Job Description
メディカル部門/ 循環器・免疫統括部は、「循環器・免疫領域疾患に苦しむ患者さんとその家族の希望をつくる」ために存在する。この存在目的は、本統括部門におけるmission 「日本における循環器・免疫領域の社内外ステイクホルダーからのアンメット・メディカルニーズUMNに迅速かつ適切に答えるために、開発、メディカルリード、メディカルサイエンスリエゾンに跨るチームによって、新薬開発から市販後にわたり切れ目ない戦略を立案、実行し、製品の医学的価値を継続して増強させる」によって達成される。
The vision of Cardiovascular & Immunology, Japan Medical (CV/IM, JMA) is to bring hope to patients with cardiovascular/ immunological diseases and their families. The world of the vision should look once we achieve the mission of CV/IM, JMA, i.e., to create and execute seamless strategies to fulfill unmet medical needs of internal & external stakeholders and to maximize the clinical value of products by facilitating boundless collaboration between clinical development, medical lead and medical science liaison from new drug development to post-launch phase.

Position Summary / Objective
メディカルサイエンスリエゾンとして以下の責任を果たす
Fulfill the following responsibilities as an IMD Medical Science Liaison.
メディカル部門、循環器・免疫統括部のMissionを達成するため、フィールドにおける担当地域・TLに対する個々の循環器・免疫領域のメディカル活動(Filed Medical Activity; FMA) の実行者として会社を代表する。
Represent company in assigned regions/ for targeted TLs as individual filed medical activities for assets in cardiovascular & Immunological diseases to achieve the mission of CV/IM, JMA.

Position Responsibilities
1) 部門貢献 Division Contribution
1. メディカル部門および循環器・免疫統括部のミッション・ビジョンを適切に理解し、これを達成するための戦略の一部を担う。
Appropriately understand the JMA & Cardiovascular / Immunology’s Mission /Vision, and execute some strategies to achieve them as the department.
2. 担当する戦略の実行に際しては、社内外ステイクホルダーとの関係、及びステイクホルダー間の相互関係を理解し、相互にトレードオフも生じない状況を構築する。
The developed strategies should be executed without any trade-offs between internal & external stakeholders.
3. メディカル部門全体を通じたシステム・プロセス改善の機会を常に模索し、改善策を提案し、これを実行する。
Continuously seek the opportunity of system/process improvement across entire JMA, propose improvement plan and implement it.
4. 健全な組織風土と共通の価値観を醸成する。
Nurture healthy organizational culture and common values.
5. MSLの活動を適切にイノベーティブ医薬品メディカルサイエンスリエゾン部部長、マネージャーに報告する。
Appropriately report the department activities to Director, IMD MSL.

2) フィールドメディカル業務 Field Medical Activity (FMA)
1. 担当領域・担当TLにおけるフィールドメディカル活動(FMA)における責任者として会社を代表する。
Represent company as the accountable person of filed medical activities for assets in cardiovascular diseases in assigned areas and targeted TLs.
2. 領域フランチャイズ及び開発戦略に合致したFMAに関する戦略を計画が予定された時間内で実行されるように適切な対応を行う。
Take appropriate actions to execute FMA strategies aligned with the therapeutic franchise within the timeline.
3. 循環器・免疫領域戦略における効果的なUMNの充足のため、社外ステイクホルダーからの声(medical Voice of Customer; mVOC)及び有益なインサイトを基に把握したUnmet medical needs (UMN)を、社内ステークホルダー(Japan Development lead, Office Medical, Franchise lead, Medical capability, Sales representatives etc)に適切に共有する
To fulfil UMS effectively, .sharing mVOC of external stakeholders & analysed insights from mVOC to internal stakeholders, i.e., Japan Development lead, Office Medical, Franchise lead, Medical capability, Sales representatives etc
4. 領域フランチャイズ及び開発戦略に合致したにFMA を計画、実行するために循環器・免疫領域メディカル部と共にGlobal、アライアンスパートナー(CV:○○株式会社メディカル部、IMS:小野薬品工業メディカルアフェアーズ部)との積極的な交流と協働を確保する。
Engage and collaborates with company global/alliance counterpart (CV: Medical, IMS:ONO Pharma, Medical Affairs) to align with Japan medical、Franchise and development strategy.
5. 自身の医学的専門性、コミュニケーションスキルを高い水準に育成、維持するために必要な社内トレーニングを積極的に行う。
Proactively receive internal training to improve and maintain medical expertise and communication skills of staff in Cardiovascular Medical Lead department.

Requirements
Degree Requirements
1) 医学・薬学・獣医学・生命科学分野の学士は必須。これらの分野の修士以上が望ましい。
B.S. in medical / pharmaceutical / veterinarian / life-science area is mandatory. M.S. in these area or above is preferable.
2) 1年以上の臨床現場での職務経験のある薬剤師または医師資格保有者が望ましい。
Licensed pharmacist or medical doctor having one year or more clinical experiences is preferable.

Experience Requirements

1) 製薬業界または医療分野での業務経験1年以上
One year or more experience in either pharmaceutical industry or healthcare field.
2) メディカル/ フィールドメディカルに関係する業務経験1年以上 
One year or more experience in a role related to Medical and/or Field Medical activities.
3) 日本国外のカウンターパートと業務を行った経験があればなお可 
Experience to interact with counterpart(s) outside Japan in a working environment is preferable.

Key Competency Requirements

1) 薬事法、公正競争規約、プロモーションコード、製薬協の諸ルールおよびその他本邦の関連規制に関する知識
Knowledge about Medical Affairs Law, Fair Competition Code (FCC), Promotion Code, JPMA rules and any other applicable regulations in Japan.
2) 日本の医薬品業界における医薬情報提供の基本的知識(MRの役割、医療機関の要求事項・水準)
Knowledge about Medical Information activities in Japanese industry including the role of Medical Representatives, expected contents and level among HCP.
3) 担当領域医薬品のデータ構成に関する基本的知識(医薬品開発のphaseと構成、市販直後調査・市販後調査のデータの性質、申請資料のmoduleごとの構成等)
Basic knowledge about product-related data scheme including phases and composition of clinical development, characteristics of data from Japanese EPPV and PMS, architecture of Common Technical Document etc.
4) 担当領域疾患(CV:循環器疾患、脳卒中及び血栓症, IMS:自己免疫疾患)における基礎科学・臨床学的知識
up-to-date advanced knowledge in basic and clinical Cardiology, Neurology (stroke) and Thrombosis & in basic and clinical Immunoscience (Auto immune diseases)..

3) 会社の一員として社内外の交渉相手に自分の意図を理解・納得させるための折衝力およびコミュニケーションスキル(プレゼンテーションスキルを含む) Negotiation and communication skills, including presentation skill to make internal/external stakeholders understand and agree on own intent as a member of company


1) 日本語(読み書き) – 医学論文や一般的な業務文書の読解、改まったビジネス文書の作成が1人でできる。
Complete level of written Japanese – can completely understand medical articles and general business documents in Japanese, can write formal Japanese at business setting.
2) 日本語(会話) – 基本的な医学・科学の議論、社内外関係者との適切な意思疎通ができる。
Complete level of oral Japanese – can have medical and scientific discussions and can communicate in an appropriate manner with internal and external stakeholders
3) 英語(読み書き) – Non-nativeの中級レベル – 医学論文や一般的な業務文書の概略がほぼ辞書なしに理解できる。複雑な内容を含め業務のあらゆる内容に関して説明文書を作成できる。
Moderate level of written English as non-native – can usually understand medical articles and general business documents in English without dictionary, can develop a document for any kind of job-related topics including complex ones.
4) 英語(会話) – Non-nativeの中級者レベル OPA 6.0以上。– 担当業務範囲の話題に関して英語での議論、交渉、説得ができる。グローバルのface-to-faceや電話の会議で自分のプロジェクトにおいては代表することができる。
Moderate level as non-native speaker of oral English. OPA minimum 5.0, preferably 6.0 or over – can discuss, negotiate and persuade in English within the responsible job-related topics, can represent own projects on medical strategies in a global meeting, either in face-to-face or through phone.
