Job Description
Primary role objective
This role will be responsible for the development and execution of corporate communications strategies and materials, with a strong emphasis on internal communications.
Key responsibilities:
Internal Communications:
- Develop a comprehensive internal communications strategy for the company, encompassing recurring leadership communications, memos, and events
- Provide and enforce consistent, high-quality internal communications across a variety of channels
- Provide guidance on: communicating the broader business strategy with stakeholders; communications developed by other business functions
- Translate and cascade significant global/regional communications
- Write internal speeches and video scripts
- Highlight key wins and successes through internal newsletters to share best practices and recognize employees
- Oversee and contribute to major internal change management initiatives
External and Client Communications Support:
- Work closely with the Events team in developing external/client communications
- Respond to client inquiries and requests submitted through the corporate website
- Manage external requests on corporate information, questionnaire participation, etc.
- Ensure that external communications adhere to guidelines, corporate values, and societal expectations
Requirements
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English
8 years+ experience in corporate communications, preferably in a property, financial or professional services company based in Japan
Well-versed in all aspects of the communications mix
A hands-on project manager with a demonstrated ability to deliver results, from planning through to execution with holistic strategic oversight
Client-focused, with the aptitude to provide quality service and recommendations within the communications field
Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders
Ability to work cooperatively as part of the broader Marketing & Communications and HR teams, in partnership with peers and senior leadership, and independently when required
Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
Interest in technology a plus
