<p>If you hear the name “Roppongi”, you’re first thoughts are probably “it’s a place filled with clubs, bars and other entertainment that supports night life scene.”Despite this however, we took on the challenge of introducing you to the excitement that Roppongi in the day time has to offer.</p> <p>The place that our reporters Alisa Urahama and Tina Tamashiro covered for us today was Tokyo Midtown! Tokyo Midtown, is most famous for being a huge shopping facility filled with about 130 variety stores, but what most people don’t know, is that it is filled with an array of artistic hot spots. On top of major art spots such as the Suntory Museum of Art and variety design specialist DESIGN HUB that exist inside Tokyo Midtown, there are even more places that are filled with art work that keep popping up!</p> <p>The first piece of art that our reporters were met by was “妙夢” or “Strange Dream” in English. It not only offers guidance in Japanese, but also provides support in English, French, Chinese and Korean.</p> <p>With the help of this communicator, our girls made their rounds around Midtown. The girls were continuously welcomed with new surprises, saying “Wow there’s even art here!”, where they’d stop for a few moments to check out the art work.</p> <p>As the girls made their way outside, they were introduced to a magical spot overflowing with greenery, which you wouldn’t think would be accessible in the heart of the city. The graphic design pieces are publications from various products, product packages, symbols, logos, posters, website, videos as well as designs of shops and various exhibitions; all of which are currently being used somewhere in society today. 日系企業は、正社員として採用した従業員を生涯にわたって雇用する終身雇用制を慣行としてきたため、人材を長い目で見る傾向があります。このため、外資系企業のように1年で結果が出なければクビというようなことは少なく、安定した長期的な雇用が期待できる面があります。また、勤続年数や年齢などに応じて役職や賃金などを上昇させる年功序列制も一般的で、フィットする職場であれば、長く働くほどメリットがあると言えるでしょう。
ただし、近年では企業・労働者の両方に多様な働き方へのニーズが高まっており、日系企業でも定期昇給の廃止や成果主義賃金の導入など、これまでの雇用慣行の見直しが進められています。このため、まずは自分に合った雇用・人事制度を見極め、志望企業の制度を把握した上で求職活動を行なっていくことが重要でしょう。
