Company Overview:
Startup E-Commerce platform from American that specializes in the selling of Luxury handbags. Based in New York, New York.
Job Contents:
Reports directly to Japan General Manager and works with members of the buying team in Japan and the US.
Purchasing: Assess condition, bids and prices luxury items for resale through wholesale deals,auctions and others.
Coordinating: Collaborates with Japan General Manager and Buying Team in procuring relevant information and data from local vendors (taking photos, measurements, price lists, etc).
Attend trade shows and manage all buying and pricing activities.
Requirements:
Must be bilingual; fluent in reading, writing and speaking the English and Japanese language
Must have a flexible working schedule; available to work on weekends and travel out of town
Previous experience in Japanese secondary luxury handbag market is preferred
Organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task. Able to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner
Knowledge and efficient in Microsoft Excel; strong retail math skills
Passion for luxury designer brands, handbags and resale market
Confident communicator, adaptable and team oriented
