Job Contents:
As a Director of Sales in Japan, you will be responsible for all sales and business development activities in his/her assigned territory, with a strong emphasis on sales performance and sales management. You will be a player/manager providing coaching, guidance, and skills development for your team. You are expected to be the representative for your region within corporate, and to provide a clear vision and context for market opportunities.
A week in the life of a Director of Sales:
· You will drive achievement of sales objectives including sales volume, ecosystem development, new business development and management of existing revenue streams.
· You will accurately forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue streams.
· You will ensure that sales goals and forecasts are consistent with the organization’s long-range strategic objectives.
· You will work closely with marketing, product management and other related parties to develop new opportunities, sales campaigns and any other tools required to be successful in territory.
· You will regularly visit key existing customers, actively be involved in the closing of major deals.
Requirements:
· To do this job, you must have ability to accurately predict revenues, and to develop and execute on go to market plans that meet company objectives. You must have strong knowledge of sales principles and practices.
· You must be fluent in English and Japanese.
· We would like someone to join our team who has strong hands-on leadership skills with the ability to effectively direct the team’s performance in the territory, is an expert in the use of SalesForce.com for forecasting, and is excellent in time management, communication, decision-making, presentation and organizational skills.
· You need to have a Bachelor Degree.
· 5 years of experience with increased responsibility within an international company + 5 years management level experience + 5 years as an individual contributor.
