Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities: Work closely with other teams during project finance loan closings, fully understanding the
financing agreements and being familiar with other aspects of the project at hand Manage monthly project loan draw requests during construction, and loan payments during
operations, in coordination with the 3rd party asset manager and other contractors Manage consent and waiver requests with project Lenders and 3rd party consultants (i.e.
independent engineers, etc) Monitor asset performance in compliance with loan covenants, working with in-house asset
management and technical teams. Review and update project budgets/forecasts as needed Coordinate the preparation of financial & progress reports to lenders and senior management Liaise and negotiate with local stakeholders (lenders, asset management service providers,
insurance companies, outside legal counsel, accounting/tax, etc.) General correspondence with banks, investors, and other stakeholder inquiries Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirement and covenants under project finance loan
documents Lead the eventual expansion of a portfolio management team locally in Japan Support senior management and contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as
needed
Requirements
Experience and Skills: Degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, business administration or related field. 5-10 years as a finance manager, asset manager and/or relevant experience at a multinational
company or financial institution Working directly with lenders and investors Understanding and expertise in financial modeling

Strategically minded with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel; very good with spreadsheets Responsible, dependable, and possessing an exceptional work ethic Language skill for contract reading and negotiation in both Japanese and English Attention to detail Skilled negotiator
Preferred Skills
Business level English, both written and oral (non-Japanese applicants with a high degree of
Japanese fluency, both written and oral, are welcomed) Experience in the renewable energy industry (wind and solar), project finance, construction, or
real estate development industry. CFA, CTP, or CPA equivalent qualification is a plus
