当社はNSU卒の博士が開発したフィルター型カソーディック真空アーク(FCVA)技術の事業化を目的に、ナンヤン工科大学からスピンアウトして1999 年に設立。高硬度ダイヤモンドライクカーボン(DLC)膜、水素フリーDLCコーティングであるta-C(テトラヘドラルアモルファスカーボン)膜の量産対応成膜装置の開発を機に、操業を開始。
FCVA成膜による水素フリーDLCコーティング(ta-C)は、ドロップレットの生成がなく、平滑性・均一性に優れる成膜表面を実現できることから、ハードディスクドライブ(HDD)の高記録密度化に貢献するヘッド保護膜や、ガラスレンズ金型の離型膜として適用が進んだほか、近年では、携帯端末・コピー機器などの装飾・機能膜などにも採用。ドロップレットの生成防止によって表面仕上げなどの後処理を大幅に軽減でき生産性向上や生産コスト低減に寄与できることや、10μm以上という厚膜・高硬度化を実現したことなどにより、近年では自動車分野でも適用が進んできています。
現在では、シンガポール、日本、中国、ベトナムに拠点を構え、1400人の従業員を抱え、2020年にシンガポール証券取引所(SGX)に上場しました。
Job Description
The technical sales manager is responsible to bridge the gap between the technical solutions and products of Nanofilm Technologies Inc and our customer’s needs, combining technical knowledge with sales skills to provide our customers with relevant technical solutions that drive our business growth. The technical sales manager will work closely with the Application Development, R&D and engineering departments to drive sales growth and ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline, materials science, mechanical engineering, or related disciplines.
- Preferable around 10 years working experience in engineering / technology business, preferable in surface solutions / coating technology business. Proven experience in simililar technical sales role.
- Technical knowledge surface solutions technologies, specifically in thin film coating technologies such as PVD, PECVD, or related technologies such as vacuum processes etc.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills in order to efficiently build relationships with customers and communicate on their needs and our solutions.
- Team player with a good mindset for teamwork and positive thinking.
- Strong problem solving skills to be able to solve customer needs and overcome technical challenges to win business and satisfy customers.
- English language skills for good communication with global team and international customers
- Willingness for business travel, predominantly in Japan but also globally from time to time.
