Job Description
-Work as hub of all functions relating to “new product development and launch”;
- Assess commercial value of the pipeline projects (market/medical situation and find if unmet medical needs/ opportunities exist) to make the company/BF portfolios better fit to the company/ TA strategy;
- Prepare basic commercial strategy including 5 – 10 years sales forecast for the pipeline projects facing major development/ pre-commercialized milestones, aligning within Japan and with Global TA strategy;
- Deliver uniqueness of Japan to Global for maximizing Japanese opportunities when the scientific/ ethnic/ situational differences between Japan and Global are notable;
- Seamless handing over through collaboration with marketing/ medical to prepare go-to-market plan and activities for any new products;
- Make proposals to head up senior managements about the business impacts (risk/ opportunities/ key issues) from portfolio’s point of view in New Product Forum;
- Ensure that a timely and effective communication and escalation process is communicated to and followed by all personnel in their respective area;
- Advocate continuous improvement of quality;
- Ensure all activities of associates comply with company standards and local regulations;
- Ensure adequate reporting of adverse events / technical complaint / compliance issue in accordance with company procedures
- 100% timely delivery of all training requirements including compliance
Requirements
- A University level (bachelors) degree; Marketing, Business Administration, Clinical Research, or related field.
- MBA a plus
- Japanese: Fluent (mother tongue)
- English: Business level (850 or above in TOEIC)
- Strong interpersonal skills at all levels within the organization both in Japanese and English
- Minimum 5 years of experiences in a pharma company to work for either of the: new product planning, brand marketing, strategic marketing, sales planning, strategic planning, medical, clinical development.
- Experiences in market research, a plus
