DevOps MySQL Database Administrator

【概要】
The candidate should be able to partner with the Operations Development Director and DBA Lead to estimate and execute projects and deliver excellent results. He or she should have demonstrated ability to work effectively with high availability systems and possess proven ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks. This position requires excellent troubleshooting and performance tuning skills with strong focus on uptime and predictability. This role will also involve some on-call support duties.


The candidate should have BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related field with at least 5+ years of database experience in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline-driven environment.
Required Skills
•In-depth database knowledge with significant expertise in database administration in MySQL DBs. 
oDatabase architecture best practices and preferably specific MySQL design. 
oInner workings of a major database engine (MySQL preferred), what it does in the background. 
oPerformance optimization and tuning
•Database design/architecture
oSchema design
oIndex design
oUnderstand data access patterns from applications and architect for performance/maintainability/security/operability
oAbility to read server code a plus (Java)
•Operational skillset
oUnderstanding operational aspect of databases such as backup, replication, security, installation, etc.
oStrong process and methodology to work through SDLC for database deployment
oKnowledge of storage architecture and using it with databases
oA good understanding of LINUX and Netapp Storage Architecture
oBasic scripting in bash or similar
•Communications
oAble to articulate database problems to Software Engineers and Managers
oAbility to report status in a clear and concise manner
•Collaboration
oAble to work with external partner teams on executing initiatives/projects
oUnderstand how to work with everyone to “get it done”
