A chic start-up company headquartered in New York City, the company focuses on the buying and selling of luxury and designed handbags in the secondary market. This company has seen rapid growth in the segment of consumers who are exploring ownership of luxury goods in a sustainable and affordable way.
Job Description
This company opened its office in Tokyo in 2017 and is looking for a full time Operations roles. This is a phenomenal opportunity to join a very-fast growing startup in its early stages and to write the future of collaborative luxury.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES
(BASIC)
-Take care of overall office needs. (e.g. Handling phone calls from vendors/partners and, purchase office supplies, communication with service providers, coordination of office repairs, document handling,etc.)
-Manage all important documents such as advanced notice and invoices
-Maintain logs and spreadsheets for all office activities
-Provide support to Operations manager and team members as and when required.
(SHIPPING)
-Communication with all logistics partners/Resolves issues regarding shipment
(e.g Handling, emails, calls from logistics partners, and some occasions going to the warehouse to solve issues to ship everything accurate to the USA)
-Provide all pertinent shipping information needed to logistics.
(e.g Create shipping lists with all the necessary information for the shipment provided by the buying team and send it to the logistics before the merchandise arrives to the warehouse)
-Daily update and monitoring of all shipping information from Japan in their inventory system.
(e.g Update each order into the system as soon as they receive the shipping schedule with all tracking information with logistics)
-Communication with NY Head Quarter.
(e.g Inquiries related to the shipment from Japan. Basically, with HQ operations team and buying team)
-Collaborate with warehouse, buying team and managers to optimize processes.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
- Fluent in English and Native Japanese language (Written and Verbal)
-"Hands on" attitude, hard-working, can work in a fast paced environment.
-Positive, high energy, team spirited.
-Detail-oriented and accurate (Data Entry Skills, Data Processing Skills, Reporting Skills, Analytical Skills.)
-Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills
-Excellent organization and communication skills
-Knowledgeable and efficient in MS office (Especially Excel)
-Previous experience in retail & logistics (WMS) is ideal.
