Job Description
<Change & strategic management>
-Define and maintain team vision, mission and roadmap following company mandate and values in order to constantly improve the maturity of the testing operations in our comapny for the whole scope of application development.
-Define target operating model for Agile testing and lead the transformation roadmap
-Define, track and report KPIs and metrics that measure Quality & Confidence level of the applications, maturity, and productivity of the team
-Support leaders to define and enforce testing best practices, patterns, and processes
-Constantly improve team productivity, refine agile processes, and create methods to increase efficiency
-Support team leaders to establish and maintain Site Reliability Engineer mindset with clear Objectives & Indicators
-Promote and support Engineering communities (Community of Practice)
<Ensure quality of business application service>
-Lead & own the testing process, activities & operating model including (but not limited to) functional testing, non-functional testing, regression testing, system integration testing, performance testing, security testing.
-Create test strategy and test schedule in collaboration with Test lead involved in feature teams and follow or create the appropriate governance process.
-Ensure appropriate test method for effective testing with test engineer and feature team.
-Estimate workload for testing and secure the resources. Create & manage a multi-year sourcing plan for testing efficiency.
-Working with other projects for effective and necessary testing with the appropriate control of overlapped resources (test environment/applications)
-Oversee and supervise tester workforce (internal testing team, external testing partners, internal analysts, ...)
-Monitor and report the status of QA & testing execution, managing issues/risks and working with other projects for controlling dependencies.
-Define & track the defect triage, review and prioritization for each feature team.
Requirements
<Skills>
・Business level English language proficiency
・Business level Japanese language proficiency (N2) is a plus
・Knowledge of testing practices & KPI (TDD, BDD, RBT, API Testing, Defect ratio, TTP / PTP, ..)
・Knowledge of testing tools (Jmeter, LoadRunner, ALM, Jira XRAY, ...)
・Knowledge of Applications, Network, IT Security, Production Systems
・Knowledge of Agile practices, tools, DevOps & SRE mindset and culture
・Knowledge of IT Architecture, IT Infrastructure and Design & Development
・Basic knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery Models
・Basic knowledge of development tools such as Git, GitHub, IDE, terminal
・Basic knowledge of Cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, GCP
<Qualifications>
・Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from accredited college/university or equivalent work experience
・ 7 years min of management experience or have demonstrable management skills to lead, coach, mentor and manage a team
・3+ years Testing engineer or Testing Lead or QA Analyst experience
・3+ years Agile process (e.g. Scrum) experience
・Ability to lead by example in technology community
・Excellent judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
・Excellent communication, negotiation and resource management skills
・Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, risk management, change management and project management
・Full understanding of Testing lifecycle best practices
・Self-motivated individual that possesses excellent time management and organizational skills
・Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, relationship building skills, and ability to achieve results without direct reporting relationships ・Strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability for delivering high quality work, both personally and at team level
・Desire to work in a fast paced, evolving, growing, and dynamic environment
・Curiosity to explore new ideas and passion to make them happen
