This company has just celebrated it's 330 year anniversary. It is a known for the quality and reliability of it's products and thus has survived the test of time.
Job Description
DUTIES
• Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments
• Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
• Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
• Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs
• Supervise all staff facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers etc.) and external contractors
• Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security etc.
• Allocate office space according to needs
• Handle insurance plans and service contracts
• Keep financial and non-financial records
• Perform analysis and forecasting
• Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines
• Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety
• Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law
• Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
• Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations
• Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions

Requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE
• Business related qualifications at a tertiary level
• Bachelor’s degree in health science, occupational safety, environmental management, or closely related field or equivalent years of experience
• Five years of progressively responsible related experience working in one or more of the facility management and EHS disciplines
• Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices
• Certified Safety and health administrator
• Certification of Electric Chief Engineer
• Native Japanese and Fluent English
